Official Indian flag sizes — which one do you need?
The Flag Code of India, 2002 prescribes nine standard sizes for the national flag, all in the mandatory 3:2 ratio. Choosing the right size depends on where the flag will fly:

Fabric options and what the Flag Code allows
Following the December 2021 amendment to the Flag Code, the national flag may be made of hand-spun and hand-woven or machine-made cotton, polyester, wool, silk or khadi bunting. We manufacture in all permitted fabrics:
Polyester (knitted or woven): the workhorse for outdoor flying — light, fast-colour, quick-drying and economical for bulk orders. Cotton: the traditional choice for ceremonial use. Silk: premium table flags, gifting and indoor display. Khadi: for institutions that require it for ceremonial hoisting.
Every flag we ship follows the code on proportion (3:2), colour standards (India saffron, white, India green) and the 24-spoke navy blue Ashoka Chakra positioned correctly on both sides.

Frequently asked questions
Can any citizen fly the national flag at home?
Yes. Since the 2002 Flag Code (following the Supreme Court's affirmation in the Naveen Jindal case), every citizen may fly the tricolour at home with dignity, and since 2022 it may also fly at night if properly illuminated. Read our full Flag Code guide.
What is the price of an Indian flag?
